Second Anniversary Concert
For two years, Harmonikos has been promoting the works of Bay Area young composers by holding concerts featuring their work. Harmonikos has presented five concerts featuring young artists and professional talent alike, and has recently premiered Patriot Day, a work by esteemed young composer Niko Umar-Durr retelling his uncle's experience during the 9/11 World Trade Center attacks.
9/11 Remembrance Concert
On September 11th, 2001, our nation faced its biggest tragedy in recent history. In light of the 10th anniversary of that day, Harmonikos composer Niko Umar-Durr has written a large work (preview) based upon his uncle's experiences as a survivor of the World Trade Center attacks.
